The purple themed male was lost in his thoughts, over nothing in particular, maybe the act of the bird and how casually it had flown by, before hopping over the sticky grass. It was true, life in a circus meant walking everywhere made your shoes sticky as chewing. Possibly because you actually had chewing gun stuck to your shoes. But it was often hard to tell.
However, Zeek was kicked right out of his thoughts with the transformation from cat to feline before his eyes. Zeek turned to find out what had made the cat fly by, before realizing it was his boss. A grin broke onto his face, thinking that Cheshire had made it through his painful episode. But that would be far too easy. He laughed softly to himself at the thought of the cat being over his pain already. He hushed his laughter at the sight of the Cat in pain. Zeek stooped and picked the crimson haired man-cat up, before placing him on the barrel. "I suppose we all have our moments. I imagine it'd be harder for you. Still, perhaps it woul be smarter if we moved somewhere where there are less birds." Zeek suggested, struggling to come up with useful ideas. Usually the man always had a plan, but he didn't know anyone to have a plan for a cat-man with a bruised tail.

Cheshire was a bit shocked when Zeek picked him up. It was a bit awkward being picked up like that but he found it quite amusing. If he were in his humanoid form, the performers looked to him as their boss and acted somewhat reserved if they weren't too close. But if he were in his cat form, they seemed to forget the fact he was their boss and treat him more like a pet. He'd gotten used to it over the years but sometimes it still felt awkward to him.
When he was sat upon the barrel, Cheshire simply stared up to Zeek tilting his head to the side as he spoke. He couldn't help but laugh slightly at the advice. "Yeah. That's probably a good idea." Now where they could possibly go was another matter. The reason he escaped here was because he didn't expect anyone to find him. But that obviously didn't work, seeing as Zeek managed to catch him.
After thinking about it again, he looked back to Zeek. "Have any idea where we could go?" Most of the places he could have suggested might not work so well. Humans were still roaming about the grounds and Mother could be anywhere.

Zeek performed a mental brainstorm. It would have to be indoors, less birds. Somewhere vaguely empty, unpopular, no people or troubles. Or few people at most. Somewhere not too suspicious. "Mm..A library?" Not only was it somewhere they'd be away from anyone they really knew, it was quiet, solitary, liberal. And, not to mention full of information. Zeek knew the place well, well enough to know that there was a whole section on felines.
Zeek looked to his Boss, eyebrows twisting together as he smiled. He was choosing not to mention that the place was one of his most favourite locations. Next to his newly aquired home.

Cheshire thought about the suggestion. A library? He began to wonder why he suggested it but quickly recalled his love for literature and knowledge. Besides, perhaps it could be useful. They could perhaps find some information for his injury. "Sounds good, Zeek," he replied with a smile. "But we better get going now. People are starting to get suspicious," he added as he caught the faint sound of a conversation not too far, wondering where the voices were coming from.
That's when a bold human peered in, staring at the two curiously. Cheshire's eyes widened slightly, amazed by how quick he appeared before letting out a natural meow. It was natural for a cat anyway...

Zeek had smiled, then nodded. To others it might have been a little bizarre for him to be conversing with a cat. But to him - it had become natural. Although, he was soon shocked to reality, it wasn't normal to talk to a brightly coloured cat. He was only really made aware of this at the small 'oh' of a stranger.
Zeek's hair swayed as he turned to face this noise. Only his head turned. A strict noise came from him then. "Yes? Can I help you, or are you just being nosy?" Zeek wasn't one for usually being so harsh, but this person had intruded, unannounced, rude. Zeek didn't approve and looked down his nose at this person. The human stared at them a moment longer, his hazel eyes flickering from the bright cat to the purple man, before he shook his head and left.
Zeek let out a sigh .

When the human left, Cheshire couldn't help but laugh. "Harsh are we?" he asked with a grin. "Don't worry about it. Let's just get going before anyone else shows." Cheshire jumped from the barrel and started off, looking over his shoulder to see if Zeek was following. He would have shifted to human form but as he expected, the humans were still curious. Poor Zeek. He was going to be known as 'that crazy guy who was talking to a cat.' He'd make it up for him though. He was helping him. He'd simply have to wait till they got a bit further from crowds.
Cheshire would continue walking forward, watching around and making sure no one would spot him. He really didn't want to be picked up like the strays who roamed about. He had places to be. Besides, if people began to realize an odd colored cat was roaming about, Mother would be sure to find out.
(Sorry for the wait x.X)

"I don't like being disturbed.." Zeek mumbled, more to himself than anything before he trailed after the cat. A part of him wanted to ask him to shift back into a human form, but a larger, more knowledgable part ordered him not to, knowing he'd just end up proving that his Boss was a mutant to all the humans.
At this moment, Zeek wasn't concerned with his reputation, even with humans watching him walking along with a cat. So what if he'd get to be known as the cat man of the circus? He found talking to cats soothing, whether they could talk back or no.
The man caught onto the cat's wary observations and frowned. "Is there some way we can hide you or something?" He asked, hoping to help. His voice had been lowered also, considering he didn't want to be seen as a man that talked to himself also.
