Personality;;
Jude, for the most part, is a gentle teen who prefers to lounge about rather than engage in any sort of physical activity. He always has an easy smile on his face and often comes off as one of the more level headed members of the Circus. While this is true for the most part Jude is easily frustrated and can revert back to his original state of being a savage child at the drop of a hat if the right buttons are pushed. While he is not the most well learned of people Jude is always eager to learn and tries as many new things as he can, finding almost everything in the outside world amazing. Sadly, the boy becomes easily frustrated, believing himself to be dumb and often entering a violent mood that borders on savage minded violence.
When Jude is unlucky enough to revert to his former state he acts as most would expect a wild animal to. He lashes out at anybody he finds odd or unfamiliar but is oddly clingy to anyone who is close to him. In actuality, Jude does not become so much a savage as he becomes animalistic. These lapses in humanity can last anywhere from hours to several days at a time and when Jude snaps back to reality he often has no recollection of the time, usually awakening at the worst possible time.
Because of his odd form of incarceration Jude is largely ignorant of the outside world and does not understand many things. For one, he is incredibly trusting, relaying his unbelievable story to anyone that asks and often falling for tricks that others play upon him. Naivety is the best way to describe this habit of trusting all and is often said that it will be his downfall one day. He is easily entranced by anything with a lot of buttons and knobs and does not fully understand that everything is fragile, especially for him. In an odd way Jude is a bull and the world is a china shop.

Powers;;
- Energy Absorption;; Jude's main ability, which oddly isn't much of an ability at all, at least not in his mind. Jude's body is like a battery and he is unable to use his other powers to their fullest extent unless he has energy to burn. His body unconsciously gathers and stores this energy inside itself for use at a later time. Whenever he is low on energy he becomes sluggish and rather irritable much to the annoyance of others. When he is in a dire situation his body kicks into overdrive and begins to drain energy from any available source that it can, often times resorting to the life force of surrounding flora, sunlight, and heat. The amount of energy Jude has is indicated by a pair of horns that appear when he has a charge. When full the horns are complete but as he uses his energy stores they slowly break away. When his horns are completely gone he's on empty and in danger of passing out from "hunger".
- Super Strength;; The power that Jude was initially given at the labs. Without energy to support it Jude had limited levels of strength but once his energy absorption power was given to him he rose to higher levels. When fully charged Jude is capable of lifting one hundred tons with difficulty, essentially ten city buses. When low on energy he has difficulty lifting one ton and overexertion of this ability can result in him falling asleep. His strength doesn't simply extend to his upper body as Jude is able to run at high speeds and jump at ten stories when fully charged. Jude can maintain use of his powers for an hour before completely draining all of his energy.
- "Invulnerability";; When Jude takes damage his body registers the kinetic energy as food and absorbs it like any other source. This reduces all physical damage Jude receives to a manageable point and prevents it from piercing his body. Unfortunately he has proven incredibly susceptible to illness, poisons, and oddly enough cold. Another oddity is that Jude can be "overloaded" by forcing more energy into him than he can process at one time.
Better be ready, hope that you feel the same

History;; Jude's first memories were waking up in the Labs at the tender age of four. Sadly, that first memory was of him laying upon the operating table with several doctors hovering above him preparing to put him under. Rather odd that his first memory was him being put to sleep. When the boy came to he had a prototype version of his current power. Since he was four Jude was a force to be reckoned with, able to life two tons and able to punch holes through concrete which earned him a special cell made with a similar energy absorbing property that he would gain later.
Because of how dangerous he was and his habit of throwing super powered tantrums Jude was often kept in his cell away from other children. He remained there for years, his only interactions with other humans being with the scientist that ran experiments on him and fine tuned his powers. For all intensive purposes Jude was little more than a savage child, lashing out at anyone out of fear. It wasn't until Jude reached the age of ten that the man who usually guarded him was swapped out with a kindly older man in his later fifties. Vincent, as he was named, took a liking to the boy often bringing him sweets and eventually taming him.
During the nights they spent together Vincent taught Jude how to be more civilized and taught him how to speak and read. The two formed a father and son relationship that made Jude feel as if he had a home. Jude, who had gone unnamed at the time, asked the man for one. Vincent happily gifted the boy with the name Jude, from his favorite song by the Beatles. It was Jude who tacked on the Gallows, taking up his impromptu father's name.
Time passed and Jude was experimented on more frequently as they discovered a way to increase his powers. Jude was given the ability to absorb energy from almost any source and routinely given nearly lethal doses of electricity to fuel his powers. He was deemed a success but further experimentation was wanted to test his upper limits. Jude, sixteen at the time, began to plot his escape. Every day after Jude was done being tested he was drained of energy. Once he was back in his cage he would attempt to regain the lost energy by inflicting harm on himself to gain a charge from the kinetic forces. However, it seemed he couldn't use his body in such a manner.
A year past and Vincent was being let go. On his final night he gave Jude the taser that most guards were equipped with. To most it was an odd gift. For Jude it was salvation. The boy used the gift to charge himself and with it broke through the walls, over loading them. Once he was free he took of running, moving faster than he had ever been allowed. It wasn't until he passed out that he stopped. When Jude awoke he had a new lease on life and spent the next two years living of the land. He lived in the wild often hunting on his own and restling down his food. It was in this way that he learned to fight and apply his strength. It was by accident that he came across the circus. After relaying his story he was clothed and given an audition. Demonstrating his powers Jude earned a spot in the circus as their residential strong man.

The whispers that floated about him were easily enough ignored, it was only after he had heard them day in and day out that the actually began to bother the man. He knew he was no prize or knight in shinning armor but after constantly hearing hushed insults and rumors he began to resent his appearance and the maids that spoke of him. He cast a gaze at the princess and withheld a smile. The memory of her chastising one of them for his sake played in his mind and it warmed his battle hardened heart to know that such a lass cared for him in such a way. He nodded his thanks to the smaller figure as she poured him a cup of tea. With what grace and poise the elf could muster he delicately picked up the saucer and took the handle of the teacup with his index finger and thumb.
He brought up the brown liquid and took a sniff. He hid a grimace as he lifted the rim of the cup to his lips and took a dainty sip. Reyn despised tea and anything that was similar to it. The only drink he hated more was coffee. The smell of it sickened him like nothing else could and often left the man feeling waves of nausea for hours. Thankfully, tea didn't have the same effect on him, it simply reminded him his most hated beverage. The feeling of warm liquid in his belly helped easy the tension he had felt earlier in the morning and filled it with something as the bodyguard had forgone breakfast this fine and noisy morning.
He let out a chuckle at his princess' words. "Oh, my dear princess you wound me so. How could the thrill and exhilaration of battle possibly match up to your wonderful company?" he playfully placed his right hand over his heart as if the young girl had inflicted some sort of wound to him. Of course the man was sharing the same sarcastic sentiments as she was. It was odd, in all of Reyn's time in the castle he had only found one person who could keep up with his games of words and possibly beat him: the girl who sat before him. It had come as a great shock when she first began to play his game with him but eventually it just became part of the morning routine.
"But alas, you've seen through my ruse. It's true I wish to be out adding even more scars to my collection." That last bit elicited a hardy laugh from the man before he took another sip of his tea and then sat the saucer and cup upon the table top that barley reached his knees. It landed with a soft clatter, something one learned to expect from the man. Despite all his finesse and skill in swordplay he was as clumsy as a toddler who had recently learned to walk. "Cookies," Reyn said in a delighted tone. Again, it was a notion that would have surprised most. "May I?" Reyn barely waited for her response as he reached out and grabbed a cookie. He popped the treat into his mouth and devoured it in one large gulp, barely chewing it as he did so.
It was Reyn's turn to raise a brow. Listening to Lilliana's explanation of their ability to flout etiquette. It gave the man something to mull over for a few moments but he ultimately had to reject the idea. Reyn was forced to act like a gentleman, his position in the world required it, even if he wasn't geared toward the role. "Don't forget I'm also an escaped prisoner and also play house with you as well. " At least he could forget about etiquette when around the princess. Reyn lifted his cup as a toast. "But what you say is true. We are a breed all our own. A breed that understands the nuances of etiquette yet are allowed to ignore the confines of it. To disregarding etiquette." he said before downing his cup of tea as most would down a pint of ale. The burning sensation in his throat was completely ignored as he sat the brittle piece of china back down upon the table.
"And speaking of those who are forced to use manners, how was your visit with your brother last night?" Reyn asked as he inspected the bottom of his tea cup, looking for any stray leaves that might have escaped the bottom of the tea pot. "Did you enjoy his company?" Reyn knew the question did not need to be asked but enjoyed asking it anyway. It gave him something to speak of once he ran out of topics in which he was sure the young girl was familiar with.
