Spotlight on me and I'm ready to break
Personality;;
Ardea is a very confident, trustworthy person. She was raised to take over a very prosperous money-lending agency and as such she is highly intelligent and great at problem solving. Though she can be quite the spitfire and she tends to have a short temper at times, Ardea is quite the lovable person. She has an affinity with cats thanks to the fact that Ches was the one who saved her from the horrible life as an agent she was living before. She loves being warm and hates the cold and water with a passion. She will never admit it, but she is also somewhat scared of them.
The young woman loves her job as a performer and relishes in the applause and acceptance she is given while spending her time in the company of the other performers and the circus audience. She has a bad habit of being rather distant from others in the sense that she doesn’t talk about her own personal, deep feelings a lot, but she is a wonderful listener. She can be a tad rash at times, she will always be there for who she cares about.
For some reason, Ardea love to where schoolgirl-like outfits [such as what she is wearing in the picture above]. It’s a strange habit that she acquired after being experimented on. But many will agree that it does suit her. Ardea likes to have fun and will often entertain others with her firepowers. She is a people pleaser at heart, though she can be selfish at times like any other person. Altogether, Ardea is a fun, spunky eighteen-year-old who will be your best, most loyal friend and your worst enemy.

Postion;; Performer
Weapons;; N/A
Powers;;
Fire Manipulation - Ardea is able to control fire. When around it, she can use it to fight [such as sending fireballs at her enemies, creating rings of fire around them to trap them, etc.] but she also uses it in performance. She can bend fire to make it take on any shape. She even has the ability to create small animals – such as her favorite, a cat she calls Chi Chi – which can be used in fights or in performances, and she will sometimes give herself things such as animal ears made of flames.
Burn Resistance – Having control of fire, Ardea can withstand any amount of heat. Though she is never burnt by fire, Ardea does feel the differences in temperature. She despises the cold because of this and if she is cold for too long her powers will decrease and she will not move as fast [plus she won’t be that good of a mood, trust me].
Fire Creation – Though it takes more energy to create her own fire out of thin air, Ardea does have the ability to do so. She is able bring about fire hotter than any other fire on earth, though her powers aren’t overly honed in this sense yet. Thus, she can only make small flames and if she tries to make more, she will often pass out. To avoid this, Ardea carries around a box full of matches at all times so that she doesn’t have to create her own fire.
Better be ready, hope that you feel the same
Family;; Unknown [she was three when she was taken from them and can’t remember them]
History;;
Ardea was born Vivian Lye. She grew up on a small little farm on an island off the English coast. Her mother and father, who were lowly farmers, had longed for a son to help out with the farming, but alas they were given Vivian. After she was born, her parents realized that they couldn’t have any other children. This upset them, though they dealt with it and the family was happy for the first three years of Vivian’s life.
But times were very, very hard. The Lye family was deep in debt and one day their luck ran out. The man that they owed money to, Liam Kennedy, came to the Lye household and demanded his money. When they couldn’t pay and started begging on hands and knees for his mercy, Vivian’s parents knew that they had truly become desperate. It was then that the three-year-old Vivian started yelling at Liam, though her vocabulary was of course quite disastrous in comparison to what it is now. Liam, intrigued by the obvious spunk in the young girl, decided to give the Lyes a chance to save themselves; if they would give him Vivian then in return their debt would be wiped away.
Vivian’s mother cried and cried, but her father was an intelligent man who knew it was best for all. Not only would their debt be repaid in full, but also Vivian would be able to grow up in a better environment with a better chance for success. So when she was three years old, Vivian was orphaned and sent to live with Liam Kennedy, a devious man who was firm in his money-lending business and a harsh, angry man on the outside while really being quite the sweetheart on the inside.
Vivian grew up with every necessity. She had the best education and the best business experience. Liam spoiled her, but she always aimed to be kind despite her spitfire ways. She lived this way for twelve years until she was fourteen. At this point Vivian was known throughout England and Ireland as the daughter of Liam Kennedy, the beautiful, powerful, intelligent Vivian Kennedy, her last name having been lost in time.
When she was fourteen Vivian was kidnapped. She had been roaming the streets while Liam was having a meeting at their home when she had suddenly been knocked out. When she woke up, Vivian found herself strapped to an examination table. Scientists surrounded her and for a year they experimented on her. It was horrifying and during the experiments Vivian felt herself really change.
After a year of this horrific torture, Vivian was finally released. She realized soon that she had the power to control and create fire and that she could never be burned. She was amazed by this, though she hated it as well. She was only sixteen, but she was smart. She had learned what happened to most of the experiments and she did not want to be sent to more experimentation and she didn’t want to start running aimlessly from the government, so she agreed to become an agent. She was one of few mutants to become an agent and was revered as one. During this time she started to hone her skills with her powers.
For a year she went about in this way until she was seventeen. It was then that she found the circus. Or, rather, she found Ches. While out on a mission, Vivian found Ches and he opened her eyes to the circus and the lifestyle that she had slowly started to get used to. She never returned to the labs after that, instead going to live in the circus and working as a performer. She lost her old name, Vivian, and instead changed it to simply Ardea, meaning fire. Only Ches knows her real name and Ardea doesn’t talk about her past much. Now she is known as Ardea, the Queen of the Flames, and lives her days with the circus, enjoying her life.

Role Play sample;; [From the site “Anesia”]
Queen Anelle Sterling sat in her large dressing her staring at herself in the mirror set before her. She was completely dressed and looked the part of a queen. She had dismissed her personal maids quickly after they finished up with her wardrobe and she had been sitting alone in the room staring at herself for nearly five minutes. He silver hair was pulled up into an intricate bun with curly strands falling out of the bun and framing her face. Golden eyes stared back at the queen and Anelle was glad that she had decided not to wear much make up.
Hearing the guests starting to arrive and picturing Alice downstairs welcoming them with a smile, Anelle stood up, ready to make her debut. She didn’t believe that she was fit for the role of queen and she knew that she could never fill her sister’s footsteps, but she was willing to try. Anelle’s husband was to make his entrance at a later time and seeing as Anelle was the blood descendent of the kings and queens, his absence would be overlooked.
Anelle felt as though the dress she wore was suffocating her. It was of the latest fashion and something that Anelle could see her sister wearing, but the new queen would much rather have been wearing something less formal. The tight bodice clung to her curves and the moment the maroon fabric his her waist it flung out and cascaded to the floor around her. Intricately decorated groupings of golden beads were place in various spots along the dress and a sort of belt was made, surrounding her waist. A matching, golden-beaded necklace was placed around Anelle’s throat and she held a matching shawl around her arms. The queen looked ravishing in the dress and she knew it, but she did truly wish that she wasn’t wearing it.
Reaching the door, Anelle let out one last sigh and turned the knob, stepping out and putting on her “queenly” look. She stood tall and her shin was up. A smile was placed on her lips and as she headed towards the stairs and heard the guests below her eyes sparkled with the excitement of a child. She had always loved balls, dancing, and the like so it was something she was looking forward to.
As she descended the stairs, silence filled the ballroom and a wiped out the noise like a tidal wave. Even the instruments stopped playing for a moment and everyone simply stared up at their new queen. Anelle, feeling the gazes following her slow descent, continued to smile and didn’t falter in a step. She was proud of herself when she finally reached the bottom of the stairs since she had been able to get through her first entrance as Anelle Sterling, Queen of Anesia.
“Good evening to you all,” Anelle said, her own gaze looking over the faces of the assembled guests. She recognized a few while others she had no recollection of. Setting her hand over her chest, Anelle continued, “It is an honor to have you in my household and I thank you for your attendance. I hope that tonight will be a glorious night filled with dancing and the pure enjoyment of everyone here.”
It wasn’t exactly a formal opening, but Anelle thought it fit her circumstance. Of course, she didn’t exactly sound very much like a queen, but at least she was being honest. When she stepped away and the music once more began, many people crowded the queen, speaking to her and thanking her for the invitation. She dealt with them all accordingly, being the gracious host that she was trained to be.
